Medal Success at County Championships

Well done to Abby Shepherd and Faith Shepherd who took home a neckful of medals from the opening weekend of the Staffs County Championships.

Also, well done to other Walsall swimmers who didn't make the finals but did the club proud with fast swims and new PBs.

Abby got Silver in the 15 yrs Age Group Finals of 50m Back, 100m Back and 200m Back. She also picked up a bronze in the 200m Free final. Faith got Silver in the 10/11 age group finals for 200m Free, 50m Fly & 200 IM, along with a Bronze in the 400m Free.

Lachlan Woodend just missed out on a medal in the 200m Breast, Edward Sherlock knocked over a second off his 100m Free PB and there were great swims from Tiffany Latham and Lily Neal in the 400m Free. Rhys Irwin made a well deserved debut at counties in the 100m Fly and Amber Valletta swam well in the 50m Back but didn't make the final.
